Banana AI
AI Mugshot Generator
Turn your photo into a convincing fake mugshot in seconds.
A mugshot maker used to mean finding a prop shop or spending hours in photo editing software. With AI mugshots, the whole process takes about thirty seconds. Upload a front-facing photo, describe the style you want, and the AI handles the rest, adding the classic grey wall background, height ruler, flat booking-style lighting, and that signature deadpan look. The results are detailed enough to be convincing without crossing into anything misleading, since these are clearly labeled AI-generated creative photos.
People use our mugshot generator for Halloween costumes, birthday gag gifts, bachelorette party props, social media posts, and novelty prints. You can generate a classic black and white vintage look from the 1970s, a grainy retro color version from the 1990s, or a crisp modern booking photo. Each style gives you a different character to play with, and generating multiple variations means you can pick the one that gets the biggest reaction.

AI Mugshot Generator: questions and answers
What is a fake mugshot and is it legal to make one? +
A fake mugshot is a creative, AI-generated photo that mimics the style of a police booking photo. It is entirely fictional and made for entertainment purposes only. It is legal to create fake mugshots of yourself or with the consent of the subject.
What kind of photo should I upload? +
A clear, front-facing photo works best. Good lighting and a neutral expression will help the AI produce the most realistic-looking result. Avoid sunglasses or hats that cover your face.
Can I choose the style of my mugshot? +
Yes. You can describe the look you want, including vintage black and white from the 1970s, retro color from the 1990s, or a modern booking photo style with a height chart background.
Can I make a mugshot for a friend as a gift or joke? +
Absolutely. Fake mugshots make great gag gifts, birthday cards, and party decorations. Just make sure you have the person's permission and a good photo of them.
Do I own the photos I generate? +
Yes. All images generated on paid plans are yours to download, share, print, and use however you like.
